The Marto Ivanhoe Sword commemorates the literary hero of Sir Walter Scott's classic adventure of the same name. It was written in 1819 and set in 12th century England, an example of historical fiction, skilfully blending historic reality, chivalric romance, and high adventure. Features a steel blade with a fuller blood groove on each side.
The intricately detailed bronze plated hilt features heraldic lions, gryphon, and unicorn on the guard with a green simulated gemstone within the pommel. Marto was founded in 1961 in the old district of Toledo and certifies all swords are designed, developed and manufactured in Toledo-Spain by its skilled and recognised artists, craftsmen and sword masters that join traditional handicraft with the most modern techniques and manufacture the finest decorative swords available in the world today.
