The Microgarden Air Plant on Wood - Ionantha is an easy to maintain, stylish, wall mounted air plant, ideal for making or adding to a feature wall. The Ionantha air plant is one of the most common species within the epiphyte family of Tillandsia and is native to Central and South America and mostly lives in desert-like climates. Air Plants are low maintenance plants, and get the majority of their nutrients from the air.

Mist your air plants in accordance with the weather, more often when it is hot and dry and less often when it is cold, damp, or dark. Plants should be soaked in water once every two weeks, depending on weather conditions. You'll know when your air plant is about to bloom, it will start to change colour when its preparing to bloom, usually to a pink or red on the tips of the plant.
