The Area Light Modes include Turbo mode with 400 lumens for 30-second intervals, High mode with 200 lumens for 3.5 hours, Low mode with 20 lumens for 8 hours, and a Strobe mode with 200 lumens for 2.5 hours.

Powered by an included lithium-ion rechargeable battery (10850, 3.7V, 750 mAh), the Inspector 500+ also provides the flexibility to use two AAA alkaline batteries, although with reduced performance.
