The tight-fitting lid of the kettle retains steam inside, allowing for rapid heating, and is removable for easy cleaning and filling. The kettle also features a lock-open design, which allows for easy filling and pouring. When the water is boiled, the kettle produces a pleasant whistling sound. However, the kettle is hand wash only and should not be put in the dishwasher.
