A compact and versatile illumination tool designed to meet the needs of military, law enforcement, and tactical applications. Featuring both primary and secondary LEDs, this light ensures effective close-work illumination. The primary yellow-green LEDs provide a robust output of up to 19.2 lumens, ideal for general-purpose tasks. Meanwhile, the secondary LEDs offer a low-signature, dark-adapted-vision-friendly colour, making them perfect for stealth operations. Additionally, the integrated infra-red (IR) Identify Friend or Foe (IFF) beacon enhances operational capabilities by allowing discreet signalling in critical situations.
Constructed from durable glass-filled nylon polymer and neoprene, the HL1 is designed for rugged use and is watertight, ensuring reliability even in tough environmental conditions. The light is easily attachable to any Modular Integrated Communications Helmet (MICH) via an included ambidextrous mount, which provides 20 preset positions for complete 360-degree rotation. This flexibility allows users to quickly and securely affix the light to their helmets, and a simple press of a lever unlocks it for swift removal when necessary. For additional convenience, an optional Z71 carry clip enables mounting on any MOLLE or ALICE vest, ensuring that essential illumination is always within reach.
The HL1 HelmetLight offers impressive operational runtimes, with the yellow-green LEDs capable of lasting up to 96 hours on low settings and the IR output providing up to 44 hours of low usage. Weighing only 2.4 oz (68 g) without the mount and 4.0 oz (113 g) with it, the lightweight design minimizes bulk while maximizing functionality.
